LPA District 4 invites you to the 2022 Fall Regional in Gainesville, Florida! They say third time's a charm... Well get ready for a fun LPA event and to also celebrate Dwarfism Awareness Month together! We’re looking forward to finally hosting at the Drury Inn & Suites - a great venue and location in northern FL! It’s the perfect opportunity for other district members to come down and join us as well, so spread the word!
Situated right off of I-75 and home to the University of Florida, the hotel is within close proximity to downtown Gainesville, shopping, dining and several area attractions like the Florida Museum of Natural History, Butterfly Rainforest, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium(home of the Florida Gators) and Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. In addition, the room rate includes a variety of complimentary food and beverage options for all registered guests!
A few important things to remember before you register:
• Per the LPA Policy Manual, you must be a current member to attend the regional. ‘Join or Renew’ with LPA - Click here! • Hotel reservation cut off date is September 16! • LPA Early Registration deadline is September 16! • You can register and attend the LPA activities without staying at the hotel. • All registration fees are non-refundable after October 1. LPA Standard Room Rate: $129/night plus tax Guest rooms feature either a king or two queen size beds with a refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer and coffee maker.
LPA Suite Room Rate: $189/night plus tax Deluxe two-room suites feature a bedroom with either a king or two queen size beds. A separate living room area includes a pull out queen sofa sleeper. Note: We only have a few Suites available in LPA room block. Check-In/Out Times: Check-In is 3:00 PM. Check-Out is 11:00 AM.
Room Cancellation Policy: You need to cancel your reservation before 12:00 PM EST on the scheduled arrival date. Cancelling after this deadline will result in a charge of one nights stay plus taxes.

Sweets & Treats Welcome Social 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Let’s kick off the weekend together in a sweet way! Catch up with LPA friends, meet new ones and indulge your sweet tooth on yummy desserts. Join us for an evening of fun, games and a kids movie corner! All things delicious and beverages will be provided.

Kids Room - Ages 3-10 yrs. 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM Cost: $5 per child - Children are invited to have fun with crafts, games, movies and snacks. Kids will be monitored by volunteers. Parents must remain in the hotel and kids must be potty trained. Ages 3 and under are welcome with parent supervision.
Story time w/ dwarfism awareness books! Teens read for last 30 min in kids room. Time to clean and pick up and have quiet time
Tween & Teen Activities 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM scavenger hunt, games pool party
@ Main Event Bowling (ages 11-18) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Cost: $5/ per person Meet in Lobby - head to Main Event from 930 AM -12 PM Come introduce yourself and meet other teens your age in our district. Teens will be chaperoned and carpool/shuttle over to Main Event to bowl and hang out. We will reserve some lanes and have fun!
Parent Meeting 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM - Come meet other parents, ask questions and share experiences. Topics will range from newborn to high school aged LP kids.
District General Meeting 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM - Meet the D4 district/chapter officers and find out what's happening at the chapter, district, and national levels of LPA.
Medical Panel Workshop 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM - An informative discussion and Q&A lead by the following dwarfism specialists and members of the LPA Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. Julie Hoover-Fong - Geneticist Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore, Maryland
Dr. George Jallo - Neurosurgeon Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital St. Petersburg, Florida
In addition, several doctors will be there from the skeletal dysplasia group at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Their comprehensive clinic is led by Dr. Jallo and it includes several specialties.
Lunch & Local Activities (On Your Own)
Medical Meetings 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Sign up to visit with the doctors during this time. Coordinated by Mary Ellen Little.
Expo 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM - Visit the different vendors that will be set up in the ballroom. Essential Oils 101 Workshop 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM - Join Aimee Rudd during the Expo, for this open discussion as she shares about Young Living Essential Oils. Learn what essential oils are, why purity matters, how to use them to help support your health and much more. All workshop attendees will have the opportunity to try samples and receive an essential oil swag bag. Painting Class 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM - Heidi Elpers, will guide participants step by step on how to design, create and paint their masterpiece. Materials will be provided. $5 per person Seating is limited. Participants will be taught how to paint “A Springtime Watercolor”

Group Picture 7:45 PM - The regional group photo will be taken right before bingo starts, don’t miss out being in it! Mix & Mingle, Group Photo and Bingo 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Come hang out or grab a bingo dauber for a fun night of bingo! Our group photo will be taken around 7:45 and bingo will be from 8:00-9:00 for those that want to play. Light snacks and beverages will be served.plus a few other surprises!

Planning and hosting an event like this requires a lot of work beforehand and throughout the weekend itself. This has all been put together by volunteer LPA Officers. LPA Member Registration Fees
Additional Guests - friends, relatives or anyone else NOT living in the same household address. They are each subject to a guest fee when attending the regional with an LPA registration. Ages 3 and under are free.

Take home a regional t-shirt as a great souvenir to remember the event! Be sure to preorder them on the registration form as we will only have just a few extra available for sale onsite.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable after October 1, 2022. Any requests for refunds must be sent in writing by email before this date to lpadistrict4@gmail.com. Refunds for registration and activity fees, minus a $25.00 processing fee, will be granted for all requests received on or before October 1, 2022. Requests made after this date may not be honored. Emergencies and illnesses, including Covid-19, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
There are no on-site refunds. Registrants who do not cancel before the deadline and/or do not attend the regional, forfeit all registration fees and activity fees.
Tickets for activities may be traded, sold or given away at the discretion of the ticket holder. LPA takes no responsibility for trading, selling or exchange of tickets.
