LPA COVID Liability Waiver

The safety of our LPA community is a top priority. The LPA National Board of Directors continues to support the recommendations of the CDC and other health organizations. Both LPA National and the Medical Advisory Board, strongly encourages vaccinations for those who are able to get vaccinated.

​LPA National supports all the Districts with implementing their own COVID policies at their Regional events. The following applies to District 4.
​
• District 4 is not implementing any vaccination requirements or mandates in order to register/attend the regional event.

• District 4 will follow any current mask and social distancing policies required by the hotel, local county and the state at the time of the event. Masks are currently optional at the hotel.

• Masks may be required during the Medical Meetings. District 4 will have disposable masks for attendees if needed.

Assumption of the Risk and Release Waiver of Liability:

• I agree not to attend the LPA event if I or anyone listed on my Registration Form is not feeling well or experiencing symptoms of COVID such as cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fever, has a confirmed or a suspected case of COVID or has come in contact with anyone in the 7 days prior who has been confirmed or suspected of having COVID.

• I acknowledge that I am voluntarily attending the LPA event with the knowledge of the risk involved. I agree to accept and assume all risks related to COVID arising from my participation at the LPA event.

• I agree to waive and release any and all claims against LPA, the hotel and any affiliates or otherwise on account of injury, illness arising out of or attributable to my participation and engagement at the LPA event and being exposed to or contracting COVID. I understand and agree that release of liability includes any claims towards LPA whether a COVID infection occurrence exists before, during, or after attendance and participation at the LPA event.

LPA COVID Liability Waiver Acknowledgment: I acknowledge that I have read the Little People of America COVID Liability Waiver. I also agree that as a member of LPA I will adhere to all rules and policies set forth in this waiver. This waiver also applies to all attendees listed on my Membership and/or Registration Form.

LPA Member Code of Conduct

Little People of America is committed to providing a safe, caring, healthy, and respectful environment for all members and guests. To promote these values, we ask individuals to act appropriately at all times when attending our events.

Our Member Code of Conduct dictates positive interactions with others, language free of anger or vulgarities, and with actions at or above a generally accepted standard of conduct. The following conduct can lead to immediate suspension or termination of membership:

• Violation of membership rules and policies in the LPA Bylaws and Policy Manual.
• Physical contact with another person in an angry or threatening manner.
• Angry or vulgar language including swearing, name-calling, or shouting.
• Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language, or any other menacing behavior.
• Theft or behavior that results in the destruction of property belonging to LPA, its members or guests, homes or facilities where events are taking place.
• Carrying of concealed weapons or devices/objects that may be used as weapons.
• Using or possessing illegal chemicals, tobacco, or alcohol during LPA events.
• Any other conduct of an inappropriate, threatening or offensive nature.
• Law enforcement may be called when applicable and/or necessary.
• Any official action by LPA does not preclude legal recourse by the hotel, event venue, individual member or non‐member, or outside entity.

The protection of our members and guests participating in our programs and events is a paramount interest of Little People of America. LPA reserves the right to deny access or revoke membership to any person who violates the membership code of conduct. All members are expected to disclose any and all conduct that may restrict their involvement with minors or felonies that may restrict them as members not limited to but being on a national sexual registry. I understand that any misrepresentations or omissions may disqualify my membership.

This code of conduct is applicable at all LPA functions including national, district, and chapter. The board of directors of the governing body of the event have the responsibility and right to enforce the code of conduct and consequences.

Membership Code of Conduct Acknowledgment: I acknowledge that I have read the Little People of America Member Code of Conduct. I also agree that as a member of LPA I will adhere to all rules and policies set forth in this Code. If I am signing as the Head of Household, I will agree to inform all members listed on my Membership and/or Registration Form of the rules and policies set forth in this Code as it applies to all attendees. I understand that any violation of the rules and policies listed in this Code could result in penalties up to loss of membership privileges of Little People of America, nationally, regionally, and locally.

Photo Release: By attending this LPA event, I understand and give permission to Little People of America to take and use any photographs or video, with any of the members listed on my Membership and/or Registration Form to use for publication or reproduction in any advertisement, public relations effort or fundraising efforts for the organization.

​Online Virtual Events: Members agree not to share access links and/or codes with others without permission from LPA. LPA reserves the right to remove you from the virtual event if your participation or behavior creates a disruption or hinders the event or the enjoyment of the event content by other attendees. Recording, Photographing, Live Streaming and Videotaping - Members agree not to record, take pictures and/or broadcast audio/video any part of the LPA virtual event without the consent from LPA and all participants.
